Female puppy in N VA in need of a home - March 2005

I have been asked to help spread word of a female Rottweiler puppy,
about 8 weeks old, that has been diagnosed by a veterinarian as having
entropion in 1 eye. This puppy is near Strasburg in northern Virginia.
The breeder is looking to place the puppy on a spay / neuter contract
with the agreement that the entropion will be surgically corrected when
appropriate. I have no personal knowledge of either the puppy, the
veterinarian, or the breeder, only a contact, so email me privately if
interested.

She-Ra - Young Female Rottweiler in Jersey City, NJ - March 2005

She-Ra is a young female Rottweiler waiting for her forever home at the
Liberty Animal Shelter in Jersey City, NJ. If one word could describe She-Ra, it
would be EXCITED! This girl positively loves life and has so much fun doing
everything! She's a big girl at about 60lbs and is only 7 months old. She still
needs some work on her housetraining and could benefit from some obedience
training, but she's so motivated by making people happy, that she'd be a snap to
train. Many rotties, tend to possessive over their food, but not She-Ra. She'd
willingly let you take the last morsel of food from her mouth. She-Ra is a
pleasure to be around and would do well in a family with older children simply
because her energy might be too much for smaller children. It has become
evident that she does not get along with other female dogs, but she remains
fantastic with people.

Ava, c.12 YO Bitch, Long Island, NY- March 2005

I volunteer at the Brookhaven town shelter in Suffolk county on Long Island, NY. We have Ava who was surrendered to the shelter on 2/2 when her family could no longer keep her. She is a very sweet 12 year-old rottie and according to the shelter, she may be less than 12 years old. She is housebroken and gets along well with kids and other dogs. She is a snuggly dog and takes treats really well. Ava walks well on a leash. She is not destructive and can be trusted alone in the house. She\'s a good watchdog and will bark at unexpected noises. She will sit on command. Ava had a bath at the shelter and she was an absolute doll.

Would you be able to do anything to rescue her or point me in the right direction of someone who could? I only volunteer there once a week and don\'t handle specifics of adoptions, but if you think you can rescue her, call Jonnie at the shelter and tell her that I suggested Ava for a rescue and she can make notations on her paperwork if and when you can rescue her. Please let me know. Thank you.

Brother and Sister, 4-5 YO, Harrison County, Indiana - Feb, 2005

My sister has died and left us 9 dogs. we've found homes for 5 but still have 4 dogs..2 are akc registered rottweilers..approximately 4-5 years old..they are brother and sister, she's spayed, he's not neutered..then we have 2 nondescript black dogs, brothers who were dumped on my sister,,they have both been neutered.can anybody help us..they are in harrison county, indiana

Fauna - Merced. 2YO, Spayed UTD F - Feb, 2005

Fauna is about 2 years old, spayed, has her vaccines, and has been heartworm tested. She is having entropion eye surgery on Friday. I rescued her and her Mother from a shelter in Merced. She is very sweet, good with other dogs and children. I am not sure about cats. Her Mother has been placed, she just needs some one on one.
